Why made to measure

Most fireplaces are chosen from a catalogue, and the room is adapted to them. A Decoflame fireplace works the other way round. Because every part is designed and built in Decoflame’s own factory in Vestbjerg, Denmark, the length, opening, casing and finish can follow your room: a 62 cm flame for a reading corner, or 3.92 m of continuous fire along a majlis wall.

That freedom only works with a clear process. These are the four steps.

Step 1: a private consultation

We start with the room and how you live in it, at your home or by video call.

What we talk about:

  • The room: its size, walls, ceiling height and what is already there.
  • How it is used: family evenings, receiving guests, all year or in winter.
  • Who is in it: children, elderly relatives, staff.
  • What you want to feel: the calm of a long low flame, or a sculptural centrepiece.

What helps us: photos of the wall straight on, in daylight; approximate wall lengths and ceiling height; a floor plan if you have one; and pictures of interiors you like. If you work with an architect or interior designer, we are happy to include them from the start.

Before the meeting, you can try our AI visualiser with a photo of your room to explore ideas.

Step 2: design drawings

Our designers draw the fireplace for your exact space and finish, so you see what will be built before anything is made. This is where the main decisions are taken:

Decision Options
The fire Bioethanol real flame, Hybrid Mist water vapour, or a convertible casing
Size Denver F6 burners from 62 cm to 3.92 m; Hybrid Mist 720, 920 or 1,120 mm
Opening Front, corner, three-sided, see-through, suspended, freestanding or integrated
Casing and surround Stone, wood slats, metal, or a Montreal casing
Finish Black, brushed steel, Corten, copper, brass or any RAL colour
Control Display, remote, Decoflame app, smart-home ready add-on

For bioethanol, the drawings also check the room against the burner’s minimum volume and detail the non-combustible surround. If you are unsure between a real flame and water vapour, read bioethanol or water vapour.

The drawings are there to be discussed. We refine them with you until the design is right.

Step 3: handmade in Denmark

Once the design is approved, the fireplace is built in Vestbjerg, near Aalborg in North Jutland, where Decoflame has designed and produced fireplaces since 2008. Around 30 people work there, from designers and electronics engineers to metalworkers, and together they build some 2,500 fireplaces a year.

Everything happens under one roof: design, engineering, metalwork, finishing and the electronics of the automatic burners. That is what makes true made-to-measure possible, and it is also what lets Decoflame control quality. Every Decoflame fireplace is CE-marked and regularly tested at an approved test centre, and the automatic burners carry an emergency shut-off, a spill sensor and sensors for CO₂ level and overheating.

Step 4: delivery, installation and the first evening

Production in Denmark takes about 3 to 4 weeks, and with shipping your fireplace reaches you in about 6 weeks in total. We deliver to your door anywhere in the Gulf: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

Every fireplace comes with a clear manual, and installation is simple. Where the fireplace is built into stone, joinery or a new wall, your contractor prepares the opening and the non-combustible surround shown in the drawings. If you prefer not to install it yourself, we arrange a trusted installer.

When the fireplace is in, we do not simply leave you with a remote. We can walk you through the first evening by video call: lighting, flame levels, the app, refuelling or refilling, and care.

After the first evening

  • Warranty: 24 months on materials and workmanship, provided the fireplace is installed and used as described in the manual. Any claim is made through us, here in the Gulf.
  • Support: local support, backed by the factory in Denmark, with remote diagnostics available.
  • Care: Hybrid Mist needs demineralised water only; bioethanol burners are refuelled when cold, or automatically with the optional 60 L tank.
