Questions, answered
Does it give off heat?
No. Hybrid Mist creates the look of flame without heat, which is exactly why it works in warm climates and near children.
What does it need to run?
A power connection and demineralised water. There is no chimney, flue or fuel.
Which water does it use? Can I use tap water?
Only demineralised water. If non-demineralised water is used, the factory warranty is void.
How long does it run on one tank?
Up to 48 hours on the 720 mm burner (6 L tank), up to 53 hours on the 920 mm (8 L) and up to 57 hours on the 1,120 mm (10 L).
Does it make the room humid?
It adds a little humidity, which many people welcome in air-conditioned rooms. The top plate is heated, so no water condenses on it.
What warranty does it have?
Decoflame gives a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase, wear parts excluded. The atomiser is covered for 2 years or 2,000 operating hours, whichever comes first. Claims go through us as your dealer.
Can I see it before I decide?
Yes. We can arrange a demonstration by video call, and we will show you real installations.
Can I switch to a real flame later?
Many Montreal casings are convertible, so a Hybrid Mist burner can be replaced by a manual or automatic bioethanol burner.
Bioethanol or water vapour: which suits the Gulf?
Choose bioethanol for the warmth and presence of a real flame, on winter evenings or in an outdoor majlis. Choose water vapour for atmosphere all year without heat, or close to children. Many homes use both, and we advise on this in the consultation.
Is it safe with children?
Hybrid Mist is cool to the touch and has no open flame. Our automatic bioethanol burners have an automatic emergency shut-off, a spill sensor and sensors for CO₂ level and overheating. As with any fire, children should always be supervised.
